This initial newsletter for Auric Trade Collective officially opens up a line of public updates that we plan on giving our community! To begin, it would be appropriate for us to give some background on who we are, and what we do.

Auric Trade Collective originally organized in 2025 between a group of friends who wanted to start a reselling business. Yes, we know! We have changed a lot! Of course now we have grown to make software. Over time we realized that the landscape of software, games, and the workplace had long been out of the favor of people who actually care. We wanted to change that. We wanted to give power back to people who had long forsaken their once beloved communities.

And there it came. An idea to create not only a community driven project, but a bond between developers and their community. We came up with Nexus. Nexus being an interconnected web of services, games, and platforms related to a communities vision, and the developers comfort. An idea maintained by a collective of workers who had a say in their environment. A worker cooperative who’s own self extension was their community.

And here we are today! Establishing our first newsletter. Very exciting stuff. Now that you know who we are, you ought to know the specifics. And that is a very complex topic indeed. You can view our homepage to see our current projects, but here is a list of what we’ve been doing to maintain them:

  • We’ve recently onboarded seven new community members to help direct the development of our signature project, The Space. These people will soon be organized into a legislative body which can pass community decisions effectively.
  • We have, of course, created this blog!
  • We are dabbling with cloud hosting. We currently have a VPS running on OVH Cloud. OVH Cloud is our hosting platform of choice due to their decisions to stay as environmentally friendly as they can.

Our plans currently are:

  • Finding an authentication platform that works for us.
  • Further developing our infrastructure to be stronger and better.
  • Organizing a game development team to begin drafting and developing The Space.
  • Plan a better way for our collective to work with our community.
  • Work with our partner FluxSysLang to sponsor each other’s ecosystems.
